As we head into spring, students across our district are beginning our state assessments, including the ISAT and IRI. This is an opportunity for students to show what they’ve learned this year and celebrate the growth they’ve made in reading, writing, and math.
This morning, as I was taking my 7th grader to school, he told me he was actually excited because it was ISAT testing day. When I asked why, he said students can earn raffle tickets for improving their scores from last year. I really appreciate the efforts our schools are making to motivate students and encourage them to do their very best.
While these assessments are just one snapshot of learning, they provide valuable information for teachers and schools as we work to support each student. They also give a broader picture of how our schools are doing, which is often used by state leaders when making decisions about education.
We want our assessment results to reflect what our students truly know and can do. In the past, results have sometimes been lower than expected when the importance of these tests was downplayed. When students give their best effort, it helps ensure the results accurately represent their learning.
Supplemental Levy Election
May 19, 2026
On May 19th D93 residents will be voting on a Supplemental Levy for Bonneville Joint School District 93.
The proposed levy would provide $9.6 million per year for two years to support a range of needs across our schools, including classroom resources, staff, student programs, and extracurricular opportunities . If approved, it would replace the current supplemental levy, which expires June 30, 2026 .
Like many districts across Idaho, we rely on a combination of state funding and local support to maintain programs and services for students.
Over the next several weeks, we will share additional information to help you better understand what the levy supports, how it impacts students, and answer frequently asked questions.
if you have a specific question about the levy or school finances, use the button below to send it to us.
D93 Child Nutrition Department is asking families to take a brief meal participation survey. D93 Students Shine at 2026 Mayor’s Scholarship Fund Awards
Bonneville Joint School District 93 was proudly represented at last night’s Mayor’s Scholarship Fund Awards Ceremony at the Colonial Theater. The evening honored students for their academic achievement, leadership, and bright futures ahead.
Since its founding in 2006, the Mayor’s Scholarship Fund has reflected a powerful community belief: supporting students goes beyond financial assistance—it’s about encouragement, connection, and opportunity. That impact continues to be felt by recipients each year.
We are proud to recognize the following D93 students from our schools who were honored:
Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients! Your hard work and dedication represent the very best of #WeAreD93.
D93 5th Graders Take the Stage with the Idaho Falls Symphony
For the third consecutive year, Bonneville Joint School District 93’s elementary music program has partnered with the Idaho Falls Symphony to provide an unforgettable, enriching experience for our students—and this year was no exception.
Fifth grade students from Cloverdale, Falls Valley, Hillview, Tiebreaker, Iona, and Summit Hills Elementary schools had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside a live symphony orchestra. Bridgewater Elementary also participated, bringing an honors violin group made up of 4th–6th grade students.
After weeks of preparation, students took the stage playing recorder or violin and singing along with the orchestra—an experience that not only showcased their musical growth but also built confidence and a deeper appreciation for the arts.
This event would not be possible without the dedication of our outstanding music educators, who spent countless hours preparing students for this moment:
Jennifer Redman (Cloverdale)
Rebecca Wessel (Falls Valley)
Rebecca Klein (Hillview)
Nicole Seedall (Tiebreaker)
Lezlie Lee (Iona)
Emily Haderlie (Summit Hills)
Emily Mitchell, D93 Elementary Music Coordinator
We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful for the continued partnership with the Idaho Falls Symphony that makes experiences like this possible.

Employment Opportunities
Bonneville Joint School District 93 is proud to participate in the America250 in Idaho Service Challenge — an initiative inviting individuals, families, classrooms, businesses, faith groups, and entire communities to serve in ways big and small.
For this challenge, an “act of service” is defined simply as:
Any intentional action that provides a meaningful benefit to others.
Whether it takes five minutes or five hours — if it makes a difference, it counts.
At D93, we know service doesn’t have to be complicated. It can look like:
Donating used books or clothing
Helping take in a neighbor’s garbage bins
Picking up trash along a trail
Offering encouragement to a colleague
Supporting a student who needs a little extra care
Does it count? Yes.
As a district, we are committed to modeling kindness through action. When D93 students and staff serve others — in our schools, in our neighborhoods, and throughout our community — we strengthen not only those around us, but the culture of who we are.
Kindness becomes powerful when it turns into service.
