    Carissa graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with emphasis in both broadcast journalism and public relations. She is an Associate real estate broker with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Voigt Davis, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Greater Idaho Falls Association of Realtors.
     
    Carissa represents Zone 2 - Ammon Elementary School, Hillview Elementary School, Tiebreaker Elementary School, Sandcreek Middle School and Hillcrest High School. Her term expires in 2026.

    I was born in Provo, Utah. My family moved to the Iona area in 1974. I graduated from Bonneville High School in 1979 and received a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management from BYU. My wife taught in Bonneville Joint School District #93 for 32 years, retiring in 2020. We have two daughters and two sons who all received their schooling in District 93 schools.

    I served 9 years on the Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Board. I have managed a business in the Idaho Falls area for over 20 years and oversee 3 locations in Idaho. I have been involved in our community and enjoy living here in District 93.

    Randy represents Zone 5 - Cloverdale Elementary School, Iona Elementary School, Black Canyon Middle School and Thunder Ridge High School. His term expires in 2026.

    Mindy Burtenshaw Clayton has spent most of her life here in the Idaho Falls area. She attended grade school, split sessions in the junior high and graduated from Bonneville High School.

    She along with her husband Troy have had the honor of raising 9 amazing children who have attended many different schools throughout District 93.

    She loves spending time with her children, grandchildren, traveling anywhere warm with her husband, and relaxing with a good book.

    Mindy has had the opportunity to be a small business owner in a few different businesses including operating a successful competitive cheer program. She got to start this business from the ground level, bringing it into our area and then doing what she loves, working with the youth.

    Mindy is passionate about District 93 and believes strongly in the education of our youth. She is committed in supporting our teachers and staff here at District 93 to help ensure the success of our students and well as the success of our teachers.

    Mindy represents Zone 1 - Woodland Hills Elementary, Mountain Valley Elementary, and Rimrock Elementary. Her term expires in 2026.

  • Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
  • Superintendent Supervision: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Superintendent to ensure the district's strategic goals are met.
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.

Participate

All are welcome to attend school board meetings either virtually or in person.

In Person: Meetings are held at the District Office at 3497 N Ammon Rd, Idaho Falls, ID, in the Board Room.
 

Join Virtually: All regular board meetings are broadcast online via live stream. The live stream will be posted on the Watch Board Meetings page by 7pm the day of the meeting.
