Teamwork: Better Together

The first week of school always brings plenty of moving parts. This year, some of our technology and transportation challenges have created more frustration than we anticipated.
Thank you for the patience, grace, and understanding you have shown as we have worked through those issues. Just as importantly, thank you for helping us solve them. When families reach out with specific information, ask questions, or point out something that isn't working, it helps us identify problems and resolve them much more effectively.
This September our Cornerstone focus will be  Teamwork.
Our staff depend on one another every day to help students learn, stay safe, get where they need to go, and feel supported. But our most important team also includes you.
You know your children best and working with parents helps us respond better when something isn't working.
We share the same goal: helping your child be safe, successful, confident, and ready for what comes next.
Thank you for being part of our team.

REMINDER!

Only elementary students in grades K–6 will not have school tomorrow, September 4, 2026.

Middle and high school students attend classes as regularly scheduled.

🚌 Transportation Update

Last night, we sent all D93 families a more detailed update about the transportation challenges we have experienced during the first week of school. In that message, we explained some of the issues created by the transition to our new transportation software system, the need to rebuild many elementary routes following boundary changes, and the work underway to correct student assignments, refine schedules, and improve the accuracy of route information.
For the most current information and assistance:
We sincerely appreciate the patience of our families and the continued work of our bus drivers and Transportation staff as we stabilize routes and improve service. If you still see errors in your child's routing information, please send them to us by submitting a Transportation Assistance Request: https://d93.org/transportationassistance

Cafeteria Account Reminder

We understand that keeping track of cafeteria balances can be challenging, and we appreciate your help in keeping your child’s account current.
Due to limited staffing, we are no longer able to make individual phone calls to remind families about negative cafeteria balances. To help keep you informed:
  • Automatic calls and text messages are sent when an account goes into the negative.
  • Account alerts are also available through LINQ at Linqconnect.com.
  • Accounts with a balance of -$50.00 or more will automatically be sent to collections.
Please monitor your child’s cafeteria account regularly and make payments as needed to avoid your account reaching the collections threshold.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep cafeteria accounts up to date.

Help Shape Idaho's First Kinship State Plan

The Idaho Department of Education is helping share an opportunity for kinship caregivers to provide input on Idaho's first statewide Kinship State Plan.

Led by the Idaho Caregiver Alliance and authorized through Idaho Senate Resolution 118, the State Plan will help identify opportunities to strengthen support for kinship families across Idaho. Input from both caregivers and organizations is an important part of the planning process.

The surveys are open through September 13, 2026. Caregivers who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for a thank-you gift card.

Both surveys are available at www.idahocaregiveralliance.com.

Thank you for helping ensure the experiences of Idaho's kinship families are represented in this statewide effort.
