Civics & Constitution Day

Today, September 17, students across D93 had opportunities to learn more about the U.S. Constitution, the freedoms it protects, and the responsibilities we share as citizens.
As our country commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, Constitution Day is an especially meaningful time to reinforce the role public schools play in helping students understand our constitutional system of government, the rights guaranteed to individuals, and the importance of informed and responsible citizenship.
Thanks to Senator Kevin Cook and other community partners, students also had several special opportunities to celebrate, including “Constitution Moments,” visits from elected officials, and a special flyover over schools in Idaho Falls and Ammon.
Most importantly, I hope today helped our students better understand the meaning of “We the People” and appreciate both the freedoms they have inherited and the responsibility their generation will one day carry for preserving our constitutional system of government.

Cafeteria Account Reminder

We understand that keeping track of cafeteria balances can be challenging, and we appreciate your help in keeping your child’s account current.
Due to limited staffing, we are no longer able to make individual phone calls to remind families about negative cafeteria balances. To help keep you informed:
  • Automatic calls and text messages are sent when an account goes into the negative.
  • Account alerts are also available through LINQ at Linqconnect.com.
  • Accounts with a balance of -$50.00 or more will automatically be sent to collections.
Please monitor your child’s cafeteria account regularly and make payments as needed to avoid your account reaching the collections threshold.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep cafeteria accounts up to date.
