Annual Notice of Parental Rights

One of the most important elements of our design for student success is our partnership with parents and families. Thank you for the many ways you support your children, their teachers, and our schools. That partnership is essential for us to truly live up to our promise to design success for every student.
As a parent with my own children in our schools, I also understand how important it is for families to clearly understand the rights, responsibilities, and roles they have in their children’s education. Knowing those rights helps parents stay informed, ask good questions, and work closely with teachers and school leaders in support of their children.
Parents are the primary decision makers in their children’s education, and we want it to be easy for families to understand what they can expect from us and where to find information when questions come up.
Each year, we provide families with several notices required by Idaho and federal law and Board policy. This year, we have brought that information together in one place to make it easier to review and reference.
Our 2026–2027 Annual Notice of Parental Rights includes information about parental rights, student records and privacy, health services, assessments, special education, student safety, instructional topics requiring parental notice or permission, and other important areas.
We appreciate your involvement in your child’s education and the trust you place in our schools. Please never hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, principal, or our District Office when you have questions. Working together with families is how we fulfill our commitment to design success for every student.

✨ Today’s the Day: The D93 Healthy Attendance Challenge Is Here!

From October 1 through November 20, D93 students can earn entries into a drawing for a Disneyland vacation for a family of four, including:
  • ✈️ Travel from Idaho Falls
  • 🏨 Accommodations at a Marriott property near the Disneyland Resort
  • 🎟️ Three-day park tickets for four
Students may earn up to four entries based on their attendance during the challenge or by improving their attendance compared with the same period last year.
K–6 students:
  • 30 days attended: 1 entry
  • 31 days attended: 2 entries
  • 32 days attended: 4 entries
Grades 7–12:
  • 33 days attended: 1 entry
  • 34 days attended: 2 entries
  • 35 days attended: 4 entries
Students may also earn entries by improving their attendance compared with the same October 1–November 20 period last year:
  • 2 additional days: 1 entry
  • 4 additional days: 2 entries
  • 6 additional days: 3 entries
  • 8+ additional days: 4 entries
Attendance and improvement entries are not combined. Students receive the higher award earned through either pathway, with a maximum of four entries.
The winner will be announced before Christmas Break.

Most importantly, this challenge is about healthy attendance — not perfect attendance. When students are healthy, we hope families will make school a priority. When students are sick, they should stay home.

💛 Attend when healthy. Stay home when sick. Let’s make every healthy school day count!

Cafeteria Account Reminder

We understand that keeping track of cafeteria balances can be challenging, and we appreciate your help in keeping your child’s account current.
Due to limited staffing, we are no longer able to make individual phone calls to remind families about negative cafeteria balances. To help keep you informed:
  • Automatic calls and text messages are sent when an account goes into the negative.
  • Account alerts are also available through LINQ at Linqconnect.com.
  • Accounts with a balance of -$50.00 or more will automatically be sent to collections.
Please monitor your child’s cafeteria account regularly and make payments as needed to avoid your account reaching the collections threshold.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep cafeteria accounts up to date.
